Twelve pairs trekked out to Powder Basin Horse Trials in Gillette, WY, July 11-13. They left on a Wednesday, schooled two days, and competed two days. The Peas contingent showed up to ride! In addition to many proud moments, they brought home ribbons galore.
Kudos to Bajian, Nicole, Melissa, Sandy and Andie who competed at their first out of state show. That’s a Big Deal.
Hannah and Nito kept at it through all three phases and finished 5th in the Junior Novice Division.  The dedication, man!:)
Zoe and Timmy took home The Blue Ribbon in the Junior Novice Division. They finished on their dressage score, moving up from fourth place after dressage to a tie for first after show jumping. Then, they wrapped up first place all for themselves on the cross country phase. Way to go!
Satine and Kim had a respectable 11th place finish in Novice B and Kim relished their “dainty” cross country phase.
Kellie and Lola went from 11th after dressage to a tie for 6th after show jumping in Novice B. A super double clear cross country phase decisively clenched 6th place for them and they were all smiles!
Anika and Commander Express went from 7th after dressage to 3rd  after show jumping, then charged through cross county to finish Novice B in 2nd place.  It goes to show that if you’re patient, the only way to go is up! Way.To.Go. you two!
Sara and Grace Kelly had strong dressage and show jumping rounds. Despite an exciting jump #9 on cross country, they had a solid cross country phase to finish 7th in Novice A and they worked hard every step of the way.
Kim and Geoffrey were in the top three all they way and finished 3rd in Novice A- yippee!
Melissa and Arabella finished on their dressage score and took home 2nd place in Beginner Novice B! Melissa even switched out for a Novice jump on cross country and had no problem at all!
Sandy and Essa delivered a double clear cross country phase to finish 7th in the Intro Division.  Their first out of state show was a whopping success and they’re looking forward to many more!
Andie and Bones finished on their dressage score and took 6th in Intro.  Andie is officially hooked on this sport- she couldn’t stop smiling as she galloped through the water!
Maddy and Brava also finished on their dressage score, arguably their best dressage test to date, to take 4th in Intro.  Killer job for these two!148599_10204453016591314_6401878134372801104_n
