Hey Peas!

Welcome to June!  We’ve started off our show season with a bang and we’re all back from The Chicken Event pumped and ready for 2020!🕺🏻

We’re officially open to receive those of you Peas who don’t yet lease a horse so if you haven’t take a look at the online schedule, feel free to set yourself up with some barn time!  Welcome back!!😻 And good news: Ms. Cara has opened up a few more teaching days so I’ll get her on the schedule and she’s all yours!🚀  As far as the protocol for using our lesson horse tack, after each lesson you must wipe down your tack with tack cleaning soap and a rag; spray your reins and girth buckles with the Clorox/water spray; and then also spray off the brushes you used.  If any of you would prefer to buy your own equipment, we support this; feel free to reach out to one of us if you’d like direction!

For all of you, please be aware that while we try our best to stay on top of preemptively blocking out time when we’ll be competing or when we have a North Fields event, we sometimes miss our timing and we may have to bug you about changing your lesson.  So, in advance, we appreciate your flexibility!

You’ll notice that there aren’t currently any new Team Trainings scheduled.  Well…here you go:

July 1, August 5, August 19 from 1:30-5pm

1:30-2:30 for Trot Poles/xbars; 2:30-3:45 for Intro/BN; and 3:45-5:00 for N/Training

September 2, September 9, and September 23 from 4:00-7:30pm

4:00-5:00 for Trot poles/xbars; 5:00-6:15 for Intro/BN; and 6:15-7:30 for N/Training

Now…💇🏽‍♀️🤳🏻 For those of you who are rallying to look AMAZING during your awesome show season, Chloe is available to help any of you with the finer points: a Master Grooming Skills class and a Show Braiding class.  Get in touch with me if you’d like to get on Chloe’s schedule- she’s available to even the little Peas!

Here are some scheduling announcements:

  • This Sunday is our Fun Jump Day where we jump courses, play a few games, win a treat or two, and this is generally what it will look like:

We’ll start at 10am with those of you who are doing trot poles and then we’ll keep raising the jumps until you’ve all had so much fun that you’re giddy! 🤸‍♂️ I’m thinking  10am to 11am for trot poles and xbars; 11 to 11:45 for 2’ and 2’3”; 11:45-1pm for everyone else!  I’d love for you to RSVP if you’re going to come and play but if you  need to borrow a horse, then contact me so we can make sure you have a ride! 🐎

  • We’re also coming into Day Camp season and I’m looking for workers to help us with camp.  Because we have extra Covid precautions in place, we may need a few more helpers than usual so if any of you can volunteer yourselves (our first camp is June 17-19), I’d love to pay you to do so- go on, put some money in your show fund!! 🐷 🏦   Oh, and volunteer your kind-hearted horses too! 🥕
  • And finally, THIS is what I’m excited for: Daniel Stewart is coming to US, at North Fields!!!!  July 6th and 7th.  Daniel is an international coach and clinician and he is the PRIMO dude for Sports Psychology in our field, bringing riders of all levels to the absolute top of their game. 🎯I. CAN’T WAIT.  I’ve attached the flyer for his clinic and I’m awaiting information on how he’d like to format each day (there will be riding as well as a seminar and online material).  In the meantime, let me know if you’re interested in participating in this clinic asap; I’d like to put our Peas in the clinic first before I advertise it within our horse community!

That’s it for right now!  Happy Summer, everyone!!! ☀️
