imageWow, what a great time we had at our first full event of the year! Thank you to Jamie Topham and the Pegasus Event Center crew!
Congratulations to all of these talented Peas and their horses:
Melissa Gorsuch and Bells had a had a bit of time off this year as Bells was resting some bones in her neck. However, you wouldn’t know it looking at her; they finished the Pegasus Mini Event winning the Pre-Beginner Novice division and coming home with a blue ribbon that neither of them expected! Three beautiful performances- way to go!:)
Ruby Feng and Vera did nothing but sail around the 2’3″ Pre-BN fences and they were happy to show off ALL the hard work they’ve put in this winter. This pair has major jumping style and power and they’ll be a force to be revoked with this year- yippee!:)
Andie Brown rode her new partner, Clark, at his first event and came home with a 2nd place ribbon! Andie was clear and organized with her directions to her mount during all three phases and it really paid off; Clark became more and more confident and brave as the show progressed, only to return home with some colorful swag. Oh yeah!!
Ellen McGrail was also working on a new relationship with Kelly Price’s mare, Zoe. Ellen and Zoe have only been together for less than a month but you wouldn’t know it; Ellen piloted a perfect mare around three perfected courses and with their resulting blue ribbon in the Grasshopper division, you’d never have known that Zoe is such a problem-child at home- she had just jumped out of her stall! Oh yes, Zoe was just showing her jumping talented, which we all love! Congrats, you three!:)
Zoe Patton and Bones came home double-fisting the show booty! Not only did Bones finish the Jr Grasshopper division in second place after a solid showing in both show jumping and on cross-country, but the two also got a big, fancy first place ribbon for Bones’s skills as an Off-the-track Thoroughbred! Bones just smiled at his long ago memories from his track days; the memories he makes these days are just so much more fun! Way to go!!:)
Susan Helier and Brava had their turn in the limelight and made a fabulous showing! Since Brava’s former rider, Maddy, is now off to college, Susan is now the one to share the glory with Brava and they made an easy go of it with a fourth place finish and a gorgeous victory gallop with the other Grasshopper competitors! We’re looking forward to a busy season with Susan and Brava and they’ll definitely continue to wow us mere mortals- congratulations!
And…a huge THANK YOU to our support team: Kellie, Zoe, Ruby, Bajian, Will, and Stacy. We can’t run, jump, and smile without all of YOUR help!:)
On to the next one!
