Just a reminder that for Saturday, I often try to finagle our show jumping times to accommodate coaching. We’ll set up the board with ride times on Friday night and you’ll see then when you show jump on Saturday.
**Who is camping with horses on Thursday night?? And I’m thinking all Peas will be on site for Friday night, but let me know if that’s not the case!
**Are you all WREA members?? If not, sign up before the event at wreautah.com. Support our local club and get rewarded for your 2015 show success!!:)
Speaking of WREA, there’s a club ‘social hour’ on Friday evening, starting at about 7pm. Bring your dinner and a beverage and hang out with your fellow Eventers!:)
If you’re not riding this weekend and you’re coming to The Chicken to cheer on and support other Peas, consider also volunteering some of your time to the show itself. Contact MaryAnn Miller (show secretary) if you (or a beloved family member/friend) can give a few hours during the day!!
Don’t forget your Peas clothing, a few warmer items (for evening activities), plenty of food and drink, tent/sleeping bag, and a camping chair.
Make sure you either own or have made arrangements to borrow a XC vest, and plan to buy a plastic pinny from the show office if you don’t already own one.
Your horse will need 2 five gallon buckets for his/her stall.
Clean your tack before Thursday, and bring your schtuffff to clean your tack again for Saturday- sparkly!!!:)
Be sure to tuck in your shirt, wear a belt, tie your hair back (hairnet, please, or LOTS of pins and hairspray!). And I’m sure your horses will be scrubbed CLEAN with a trimmed bridle path, neat mane and tail and clean nose/eyes!:)
I’m still figuring out trailering arrangements, but they’ll go something like this:
Andie’s trailer:
Andante
Reef
Clark
Skip
Between Sara’s trailers and mine:
Ellie
Bones
Cedar
Cotton
Brava
Be sure to have all your stuff loaded by Wed evening and if you’re not planning to help load horses Thursday morning, leave your shopping boots by your horse’ pasture and your full hay bag in the back of your particular trailer.
Let’s see…any other questions? Call me if there’s something I missed:)
I can’t wait!!
